Tracy McGrady Top 5 Best Career Moments

Tracy McGrady has had a lot of great in game moments in his life. It is hard to rank his top 5 but here they are:

5: 4th career triple double
4: t-mac scores 62
3: T-mac On Shaun Bradely
2: 22 game win streak
1: 13 points in 33 seconds.

Tracy's NBA Journey

Tracy McGrady has been on five NBA teams. Basically 4 teams though because the Knicks was just for 24 games. He used the Knicks so he could play more that season. Tracy was booed at the 3 places he returned (he wasn't booed at the Knicks and that doesn't count). He loves playing while being booed. He says it doesn't bother him he just plays better. But Tracy never disrespected the cities. He said he loved the city and fans it was just time to leave. He actually said that in an interview, and said it wasn't like Chris Bosh and disrespected the city.

I think Tracy looked good in every jersey he played in. I liked the Raptors jersey on him the best though. Then I liked him in the Rockets, Magic, Pitons and Knicks are about tied. I think he plays well when he is booed. Every returning home game he played very well. In my opinion he shouldn't have been booed at any of the 3 places he played at.

T-Mac On Top 100 List

On "Top 100 List Everything", Tracy McGrady is ranked the 48th best player to ever play the game. If Tracy were to never get injured who knows where he would be on this list. This website says if he was never injured and based on talent T-Mac would be in the top 20 no doubt. Tracy has a lot of amazing accomplishments under his belt. He might be a Hall A Famer, he might not. It was said when healthy he would finish top 6 in the MVP voting. He got robbed a few times on the MVP i think. First off he should have gotten it the year he led the Rockets to a 20 game win streak in stead of getting 2nd in the voting.

I think Tracy deserves to be the 48th best player to ever play the game. Besides a championship he has completed everything. Out of the top 20 best players with out a ring T-Mac should be in the top 5 because he was so good. Most kids today (Jamison Maxwell) never saw him play or looked up videos, so they don't know what they are talking about when they say he was overrated or something.

T-Mac News

The Knicks have just now been swept from the NBA Playoffs. Chauncey Billups was hurt almost the whole series but I think T-mac could be the Knicks missing piece. If Chauncey decides to resign with the Knicks, Tracy and him could be the Knicks veteren leaders. Well If you think about it Roger Mason could be too with his championship experience. Bill Walker probably wouldn't want Tracy to sign with the Knicks because he would take up more of his time and Shaun Williams time would be taken up.

I wonder what number Tracy would pick if the Knicks picked him. Amar'e took his number #1, and Shaun Williams is number #3. I think Tracy could really help either New York get over the hump, and he could help Chicago get over the hump. In Chicago Tracy could be their veteren leader. I think if Chicago like planned, signed Tracy McGrady they could have an even greater shot of winning the NBA championship. Tom Thibodeau and his coaching staff are regreting not signing McGrady after seeing how much progress he made this season.

Tracy McGrady Injury Free

Tracy McGrady is looking forward to entering free agency feeling healthy.
T-mac is glads that he is injury free this season. This is his first season to be injury free since the 07-08 season. Tracy this season played 72/82 games. He rested the last four games of the season. That leaves 6 games to determine what happened and like 4 or 5 of them he sat out for missing practice. So i think one game he sat out for his leg hurting. He almost had like 3 triple doubles this season.

“I feel good about the progression I’ve made this year, being able to get through this whole year injury-free,” McGrady said before the Pistons’ game against the Nets on Wednesday night.

McGrady said, “My body is feeling good, and I look forward to next year — whenever that happens.”

I think Tracy has played very good this season and so do critics. When they gave offseason grades Tracy got a B and they said that one more summer of rehad he will be very very good. So I can't wait till next season. Tracy still undecided about the team he wants to play for. Tracy had his microfracture surgery in February 2009. So if Tracy has one more summer of rehad I think he will be deadly good.
"I feel that I've made some strides on being able to prolong my career and be able to stay in this league a few more years as opposed to having to deal with the injuries and having to walk away from the game because I'm not healthy," said McGrady, who said again he will consider the Pistons.
"But, yeah, I think I've helped myself in showing people that I'm healthy, and I'm sure I have a lot more people that are interested in what I can bring to their team than I did this past summer.

Kevin Durant The Next Tracy McGrady

Tracy McGrady and Kevin Durant have always been compared. Critics are starting to compare them because of the playoffs and their scoring titles. Tracy McGrady won 2 scoring tittles and they starting saying he was the best in the NBA. He never got out of the first round and I don't think he played bad in the playoffs. He almost averaged a triple double, he scored like 29 points a game. The stats are on NBA.com if you want to look at the stats. But Kevim Durant struggled shooting terrible from the feild. If the Thunder get out of the first round this year, I say the Thunder is why they got out of the first round because Kevin has a way better team than T-mac did.

I think they are very similar players becuase they score just the same, and are both tall and lanky. People told Kevin when he was in high school that he played just like T-mac. T-mac abd Kevin Durant get scouting reports like this.
“Simply dominant, the type of player who can put up big numbers even when his man is playing outstanding defense. Gets a third of his offense from pick and roll situations where he can simply dribble off and pull up, with another quarter coming from isolations.

Impressive jump shot, gets incredible elevation and can shoot off balance with little trouble, particularly from mid-range range. Not very effective from beyond the arc, but still attempts quite a few shots from there.

Operates as a bit of a point forward. Great one-on-one skills. Excellent hesitation moves and use of ball fakes. Plays the game at many different speeds. Effective crossover. Hard to stop off the dribble. Outstanding ball-handler at his size. Prefers to go left and go to the rim where he can finish explosively with either hand.

Can get by his man when he faces up in the post. Great catch and shoot player. Doesn’t get a lot of transition opportunities. Gets to the line at a good rate, but needs to improve his consistency.
Tracy also is better in close tight situations, like 13 points in 30 seconds. Kevin has had one game winner this season, and it was verse the Knicks. I was at the game and have to admit it was very impressive. Kevin takes horrible game winners, like I remember one verse the Grizzles he just took the stupidest shot. Also they both have the same work ethic.

Starting But Scoreless

In Tracy's last two games he has been scoreless. He started them just didn't score, and people shouldn't worry about this. He scored 14 points in the last four games, the first of the four he scored 14, and has very good stats, the second he was DNP (I don't know why), and then scoreless the next two. He has been soar the last two games in the knees. But everyone is soar by 76 games or so in the season. I mean that is a lot of minutes for T-mac because I think he has missed 2 or 3 games this season.

I don't really care for this and am not worried he is injured because he's not. So if you are going to want Tracy to score a lot the next couple of games he probably will only score like 10 or 12 points. A lot of players have been sitting out , like Jason Kidd and others. So I therefore don't think this is to worry over.

Free Agency

Free agency is around the corner. T-mac and the Pistons only have 9 games left of the season. T-mac has probably already been thinking about his wish list for teams to play for. I bet he has already started getting ready for offseason. He probably wants to sign with a team faster than later. He really misses his family because he talks about it on twitter, and other stuff. He will probably also work out with that guy he worked out with in the summer with Dwayne Wade in Chicago.

I think what Tracy has proven to people who said he should retire and other teams that said he will never be good again wrong. I think that he could really help a team. At least one with a coach with the basketball IQ above 50 (Kuester). The teams will probably still want him to work out with them before they sign him obviously. I think T-mac might have already reached out to some teams to talk about working out with them for next season.

T-mac and The Pistons Record

t-mac wallpapers, t-mac wallpaper
Right Now the Eastern Conference's standing are, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Indiana, Charlotte, Milwaukee, and then Detroit at 11. But like I said Detroit doesn't really care about the playoffs anymore. T-mac's goal right now is to get healthier for next season, and how he can improve to get better for next season. He wants to help his team next year in every possible way to help them win a ring. He said he would help rebuild in D-town. But after the deadline, I think he and everyone else knew he wasn't staying in detroit, because the so called boycott, and being benched.

I think it would be good for T-mac and the organization if he left after this season. I think it would be good because they are trying to rebuild as T-mac is trying to win a ring. I also think he could be a good fit in Miami, as he is the missing key player to put that organization together. I think T-mac should go to the Lakers, Heat, Celtics, or Bulls. I think he should go to the Bull first out of all of them though.

T-mac DNP

Last night verse the Pacers, T-mac was DNP with a sore back. He will be in the line up next game I bet verse the Pacers again. This should be a one day deal. Even though their next game is in the middle of the week. Over than NBA news, T-mac has been paying attention to the NCAA Tournament. He didn't go to college and went straight to the NBA as you know, but he was going to go to Kentucky if he went to college. So his twitter this month has mainly been about Kentucky, and the NCAA Tournament.

I think T-mac will do fine with his back spasms last night. My prediction is that he plays the next game. I also have to agree with him during March Madness. I do think Kentucky will win it all now. I bet you T-mac was mad that he couldn't go out there and play last night too. He is always hungry for a win and to play. I think he wants to show the world he can play.

T-mac Plays The Heat

Tracy and the Pistons plat the Heat tonight. The Pistons have lost in all three meeting with the Heat this season. So obviously they are not the favorite to win tonights game at 6:30. I hope Tracy will go off this game. But it is no telling who is going to get a lot of playing time since Coach Kuester has been changing the line ups a lot.
Tracy McGrady and LeBron James - Detroit Pistons v Miami Heat
I hope the Pistons will win tonights game verse the heat at home. But unfortunately, I don't think they will win. The Pistons aren't about winning games right now. They just want to try new groups of five out on the court to see who plays good together. I hope T-mac will start at the 3, with Tayshaun at the 4, Ben at the 5, Rodney at the 2, and Will at the 1. This would allow T-mac to score.

Practice

Jeff Van Gundy (T-mac's old coach from the rockets) said at a conference that tracy was never a good practice player. He said that is un earthly god given talent got in the way of his maturation. Gundy said that his skill level made it to easy for him to do new things. He said that Tracy could have been arguably one of the best players ever if he worked a little harder. But don't get him wrong he thought T-mac was the best player he has ever coached by far. Tracy said he doesn't see it that way. Tracy said he doesn't think that would make him a better player. When Tracy was asked for his response to this he said, " I just wasn't a great practice player. I just wasn't. I wasn't". Tracy said he doesn't have harsh feelings for what Gundy said.

I agree with both of them. I think Tracy tried very hard in practice. But I also think he could have gotten faster, stronger, and maybe tried even harder than he did in games. So for me it is hard to say who is right, but I have to say I think T-mac could have been a little better of a player. I also wonder if this would have made him in better condition so that he didn't get that hurt knee that messed up his career. “I
just wasn’t a great practice player,’’ McGrady, a Detroit guard, said in an interview with HoopsHype. “I just wasn’t. I wasn’t.’’

T-Mac News

Lately T-mac has not been scoring to much since the Thunder game. He has been disbributing. But his few 8 points have been big points. He has had 3 or more really good dunks. The pistons line up shifts don't allow T-mac to score. I don't think they will make the playoffs with these line up changes. T-mac's dunks were spectacular, and 2 of them were verse the Raptors, and one verse the Hawks. The video of the one verse the Hawks is on nba.com.

I think that T-mac will play for five more years, and so does he. He still has fire power. He just can't show all of it because John Kuester is stupid! Joe Dumars says he wants to resign McGrady after this season, but we all know T-mac is leaving the Pistons after this season. The question is to what team.

T-mac Back In The Starting Line-Up

tracy-mcgrady.jpg
Wednesday night T-mac went back into the starting line-up! I was glad to see that. He also had a really good game, and impressed Kuester with 15 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. He was so close to a triple double. It is also going to be cool getting to watch him tonight! I hope that he just goes off. I am pretty sure he will be starting shooting guard, or small forward. I don't think he will start point guard because coach Kuester said that he has a trick up his sleeve. Kuester said players will be getting a lot of minutes and play different spots.

Just getting to see T-mac play in person will be very fun, and exciting. I haven't seen him play in person in a long long time. Seeing him in person is way different than watching him on T.V. T-mac last night tweeted, "In KD's city, whats good OKC?" I wanted to get a picture so I went to their hotel, but he didn't come down stairs. I did see Tayshaun Prince, and Ben wallace though. They said no to a picture though. I predict that the Pistons and the Thunder have a very close game and T-mac scores a lot.

Tracy McGrady Being Benched

If you didn't know about the Pistons so called "player lock-out" on February 25. Two of the Pistons players said they were ill. The two players were Tracy McGrady and Tayshaun Prince. Rodney Stucky and Austin Daye said they didn't know what time the bus was leaving, Ben Wallace had a brother that died, but the Pistons already knew about that. Now Rip said he was at his families house, and he has had a lot of drama this year, and he said he made up with Kuester. Tracy McGrady has been the only one that still hasn't played and he was a starter. This has made not only him mad, but me! T-Mac has not played the last 5 or 6 games, and is questionable tonight. I think Coach Kuester will get fired this season. It seems that Rip and T-Mac have switched spots, because Rip was benched for a long time. Knowing me from OKC, I want to see T-Mac play!!!! I have literally waited the whole season for this game, and now he's benched. Coach Kuester did say he wouldn't be suprised if T-Mac gets another chance soon though.

Tracy has basically said he is not going to play with the Pistons next season because of being benched. Heres what he said,
“Oh, of course. Of course,” McGrady said (of thinking of leaving). “I left my family back in Houston and I came here to dedicate myself and get back healthy and help this team win, and this is going on? Of course I’m going to think about it. I’ve already thought about it.
“I want to play. It’s a very frustrating time for me right now.”
I want the Pistons to realize that they had a winning record when T-Mac was starting, they beat the Celtics for Christ's sake! I just hope that T-mac will play friday night, so I can see my favorite player ever play.

T-Mac Game Recap Against his Former Team

T-Mac and his Pistons fall short by eight points to his former team the Houston Rockets. Like last time the rockets couldn't contain him, but basically all of his stats were in the first half. T-Mac ended the game with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steals, 2 blocks, and 3 assists. If T-Mac has these types of games there is a good chance he will get traded at the deadline. If he had had the same stats the 2nd half he would have had 20 points, and 14 rebounds. For some odd reason I never found out is that T-Mac only played 21 minutes last night.

It will be doubtful that T-Mac will get traded because Joe Dumars says that he would love to have Tracy back for next year. He will only get traded if the Pistons get something good in return. If Tracy plays well through out the season he can get really good offers from teams next year. Maybe he can sign with the Thunder so I can see him every home game. But instead on focusing on trade deadline stuff, I am just glad he has been playing good.

Tracy McGrady News and Info.

Tracy McGrady     Tracy McGrady might be traded this All-Star break. He is said to be one of the top 5 guys that would best fit in the heat's team. He could possibly go to the Bulls, he would already be with the Bulls, but coach Tom Thibideau didn't want to take any risks. He said that he thought T-Mac would have the mind set of just trying to score the balll. I just hope he gets a ring, so it wouldn't bother me if he got traded. If you are a subscriber to ESPN at ESPN.go.com, then you can see what Stephen A. Smith said about Tracy McGrady's future about 3 days ago. I don't subscribe to it because I personally think it would be a waste of money for me, but I am not you.

It think Tracy McGrady getting traded would be a good thing. I mean the Pistons have Austin Daye to look ahead to, and he has been playing good. This will give Austin a chance to prove him self, so it would be good for Austin and Tracy. Tracy McGrady really needs a ring to complete his career. Also Derrick Rose said he would love to have T-Mac play for the Bulls.I would love to see T-Mac get a ring, because if he did he should most definately get into the Hall of Fame in my opinion.

T-Mac VS. His Former Rockets

Detroit Pistons' Tracy McGrady, Left, Knocks     This is the worst game to see be played. It is the worst game to see be played because the Rockets are still my favorite team, while T-Mac, my favorite player is playing them. I don't know who to cheer for because they both need as many wins as possible. The Pistons are in 11th 4.5 games away from 8th place. The Rockets are in 12th 5 games from 8th place. So therefore I will go for the Rockets, but I hope T-Mac has 25 points.

The Pistons need to get a true point guard and let T-Mac start Small forward and trade Tayshaun Prince and Rip Hamalton for a good PG. T-mac needs to start scoring the ball as the Pistons make a playoff run. Why not try this because everything they have tried with T-Mac has been a huge success, especially signing him. Pistons Joe D said that the Tracy McGrady experiment has worked out way better than they planned. So this is just my opinion to getting the Pistons in the playoffs.

T-Mac Good All Around Game Last Wednesday

Tracy McGrady and the Pistons faced the Indiana Pacers last Wednesday night. The Pistons won the last game before the All-Star break in over time, which is always a good thing to do. It helps relieve stress going into the fun weekend. T-Mac had a good all around game scoring 15 points, racking up 5 rebounds, and dishing 4 assists. T-Mac has been playing 30 good minutes a game, it makes me feel good to know he is healthy. Also the Joe Dumars ( Pistons G.M) said next year they point Tracy and small forward. This is a good thing because it will allow him to score the ball.

In this game Tracy passed a landmark, which he now has over 18,000 total career points. This means if Tracy moves to forward he could possibly reach 20,000 career points, which is another thing you could add to his career achievements. This All-Star weekend could have been better if T-Mac was put in the All-Star game. It would be cool if T-Mac also was put in the All-Star game at least 10 times. Right now he has 7 All-Star appearances ( all starting guard).

Good game by T-mac vs the Hawks

Last Night the Pistons and the Hawks battled it out. The Hawks came on top winning by 15. Tracy McGrady was the leading scoring for the Pistons with 14 points. Tracy's statistics were 14 points, 4 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals. Pistons had a 15 point lead in the game and then the Hawks started slowly creeping back into it. The Pistons need to work on closing games out. For example they were beating the Heat the whole game and ended up losing by 1 point, 86-87.

I think to finish games Tracy McGrady needs to have the ball in his hands to end the game because he is a veteran and knows how to close games. If anyone says otherwise explain the 13 points in the last 30 seconds to beat the Spurs by 1 point. That spells C-L-U-T-C-H! Tracy has one of the highest basketball IQ's in the NBA. I would totally have faith in him to end those games. It seems like the Pistons do better when Rodney Stuckey isn't in the game. Don't get me wrong he is a good player, I just think he is out of control and is not a good point guard. Why not give it a try let T-mac make the decisions on the court when the game is in the line? When the Pistons put him in the starting line up they have a winning record I saw the record somewhere on the internet, but i can't seem to find it right now.

Is Tracy McGrady's Prime Greater than LeBron's Prime?

T-Mac in his prime is better than Lebron for many reason. Lebron is known for his ability to drive into the paint, but T-Mac can also do the same and dunk with astonishment. Remember when he dunked over Shawn Bradley of the Mavs? He can easily go to the basket with dribbling skills and also be able to deliver some nice dimes because he has much better passing percision than people think. He is a pure shooter at his prime. Not everyone is perfect at shooting, but T-Mac was closest to it! He scored 13 pts in 33 seconds and each stroke looked amazing and his shot is so good. When T-Mac wants something, he will get it. I know people are gonna say "he didn't get past the first round of the playoffs when he wasn't injured" but he tried his butt off scoring incredible numbers against the Jazz and owning and this without Yao, so he basically had the team on his shoulders, Lebron has done it, yet I do believe T-Mac has more heart for the game than Lebron if he was in his prime. I just want to say that I am a huge Rockets fan, but even if i wasn't i know T-Mac at his prime is almost impossible to stop, he was a back to back scoring leader and he is simply much better than ppl see him now adays due to his injury. I have never been more disappointed for someone and wish T-Mac the best of luck in Detroit, his fall from the top to the bottom due to injury is truly a tragic.

Also you can't compare these two because T-mac has more achievements.

  • First Team: 2002, 2003
  • Second Team: 2001, 2004, 2007
  • Third Team: 2005, 2008

Orlando Magic franchise records

  • All-Time Free Throws Made (1,819)
  • Most points in one game with 62 (March 10, 2004 vs. Washington Wizards)
  • Most points in one half with 37 in the first half (March 9, 2003 vs. Denver Nuggets)
  • Most points in one quarter with 25 in the second quarter (March 9, 2003 vs. Denver Nuggets)
  • Most free throws made in one game with 18 (December 25, 2002 vs. Detroit Pistons)
  • Most points in a playoff game with 46 (in Game 2 of the 2003 Eastern Conference playoffs, First Round vs. Detroit Pistons)
  • Most three-point field goals made in one half with 8 (January 26, 2004 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers)

Career achievements

  • Career 40+ point games (regular season): 45
  • Career 50+ point games (regular season): 4
  • Career 60+ point games (regular season): 1
  • Career triple-doubles (regular season): 4
  • Shares NBA record for most three-point field goals made in one half with 8 (January 26, 2004 Orlando vs. Cleveland)
LeBron James has achieved:

Each player had more stats that i didn't add, because it would be to long of a list. Both player had already played on Christmas day and Tracy McGrady owned him. He dropped 40 points. Tracy McGrady is a better dunker. If you say LeBron is a better dunker, than why hasn't he been in the dunk contest. Tracy McGrady is ranked the 48th best player of all time. They said he would be top 20 but with all of his injuries it held him back.

T-Mac Game Recap vs the Bucks and His Recovery

Tracy McGrady and the Pistons took on the Bucks in Milwaukee last night. The Pistons got the win with Tracy McGrady scoring 20 points and the Pistons are now 19-32. This is what I mean when I said on my last post that Tracy McGrady is putting up bigger number and is feeling healthy again. Tracy has been saying his left knee has been feeling great. Unfortunately he didn't make the All-Star team this year, but he said he was fine with that. I just wonder what will happen with him later on this year. I hope that he will get traded (don't get me wrong the Pistons were good for T-mac but he needs a ring) to a contender at the deadline because that will complete his career. He already has all the individual achievements, just not a ring.

Tracy McGrady was interviewed and he talked about how it feels good to be healthy. Tracy McGrady deflects a pass, then races toward the perimeter a few seconds later to close out on an opponent. Later, he catches the ball in the post and drops a nice pass for a cutting teammate along the baseline. This is what a highlight film for McGrady looks like these days. Yes, he can still jump high for an occasional dunk or an impressive move to the basket, but the 31-year-old former scoring champion is contributing for the Detroit Pistons as a dependable point guard. McGrady now facilitates the offense instead of dominating it - but after two seasons ruined by knee problems, he is proving he can still play a major role for an NBA team.
"He was a superstar, and he has checked his ego," Detroit coach John Kuester said. "He really doesn't care whether he scores. He wants to make sure that everybody's involved."

Nobody knew quite what to expect when McGrady signed a one-year contract with the Pistons in August. He'd played just 65 games the previous two seasons with Houston and New York, his career in jeopardy following microfracture surgery on his left knee in February 2009. Once one of the league's most dynamic players, McGrady wasn't even a starter on opening night for the Pistons. He is now.
With Detroit (18-32) struggling to stay in the playoff race, Kuester has juggled the lineup quite a bit. He's benched swingman Richard Hamilton and turned to McGrady as his primary point guard. McGrady has started the last 14 games, and the Pistons are a respectable 7-7 over that span, including a win at Orlando and a close loss at Miami. McGrady is scoring 7.9 points per game on the season, but he's shooting 45 percent, putting him on pace for his best percentage since 2002-03. That was the season he averaged 32.1 points with Orlando and won the first of two straight scoring titles.

"I've always been an all-around player, but I was put in a situation where I had to be a scorer, and that's what stuck with me throughout my career. ... When I went to Orlando, not having Grant Hill put a lot of pressure on me to score," McGrady said, referring to another injury-prone star familiar to Detroit fans. "I didn't know I had the ability to score the way I did. I worked extremely hard on that aspect. The playmaking ability just comes natural."

Against the Heat on Jan. 28, McGrady had 14 points and 10 assists. He had 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists in a win over the Nets on Friday night. McGrady then scored 20 points in Saturday night's win at Milwaukee, extending his streak to seven games with at least 12 points. Against New Jersey, McGrady took a season-high 20 shots, but they didn't seem forced. At 6-foot-8, he can cause matchup problems while playing point guard, giving the Pistons an advantage around the basket - but he also makes sure to keep his teammates involved.

"He's really done a nice job of keeping the pace of the game. That's one of the things I love about him is his ability to calm things down," Kuester said. "He's always probing the court to see where there's a mismatch."

Perhaps most importantly, McGrady has played every game for the Pistons this season - and occasionally he looks like his spry old self. On Friday night, he leaped high to grab an offensive rebound with one hand, came down with the ball, then quickly jumped up again for an easy dunk.

"I felt good," he said. "My legs are starting to feel normal. I'm feeling like I'm getting my bounce back, so it's starting to show a little bit."

McGrady says playing on back-to-back nights is still difficult, but there's no question the Pistons are happy with his contribution amid a difficult season.

"Tracy has worked out even better than we expected," Pistons president Joe Dumars said in an e-mail to The Associated Press. "He's a pro in every sense of the word."

The question now is where McGrady will be in a year. Dumars says he'd love to have him remain with Detroit, but the veteran may have earned himself a few options with his encouraging play. McGrady will have plenty of time to worry about his future. Detroit finished Saturday night three games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and McGrady is hoping to help the Pistons finish strong after he's endured so much uncertainty in recent years.

"I'm not even thinking about what's to come for next season," McGrady said. "I'm excited about trying to make this push, and we'll see what happens this year"

Tracy Plays the Bobcats Tonight

Tracy McGrady and Pistons play the Bobcats tonight, and Tracy will be wearing new Adidas shoes this game. There's not much I can tell you about these shoes, but my next post will have all the information. T-Mac is saying he is one step closer to regaining his All-Star form. Tracy McGrady closely observed last week’s announcement of the starters for next month’s All-Star Game in Los Angeles.
And he will be watching when the reserves are announced this week.
McGrady has little doubt he can regain the form that made him a seven-time All-Star before playing with a bum left knee.
“There’s no question about that,” McGrady said Friday when asked if he can return to the All-Star Game.
“Even if I’m not an All-Star, I want to get back to that form of player. I feel it’s coming. I’m not too far off from that level.”
With the way he’s playing, you tend to believe him. A case can be made that McGrady has been the Pistons’ most valuable player. I think he will regain his All-Star form, I mean look at his incredible improvement physicallly and mentally from last year. Earlier this season he was 1 rebound away from having a triple double.
He can score just as easily, but he is just trying to get his teammates I little more involoved. He is getting a lot of assists lately and if he keeps this up I think he will pass the 5,000 assist mark, and he is awfully close to doing so. Right now Tracy McGrady has 3,961 assists and 17,902 points right now. I think by the end of his career he will have passed the 20k points mark and the 5k assists mark. Tracy McGrady has had other memorable moments I could go on forever about like the 22 game win streak, and the 13 points in 30 seconds.

If Grant Hill wasn't hurt on the Magic with T-mac that would have been a championship and with Dwight Howard coming. T-mac has never had another player to fill his spot as a scorer when he is hurt. That Magic team also almost got Tim Duncan, with those 4 players that spells 4 rings. Tracy might get traded to a contender at the deadline to a contender, or may not. But atleast there is one thing I can say he's not a ring chaser like LeBron James.
